You2Pro is an online marketplace based in the United Kingdom that connects customers with local service professionals (“Pros”). References to “You2Pro”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy refer to the You2Pro platform and its operators.
You2Pro acts as the data controller for personal information collected through this platform. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What You2Pro Does
You2Pro provides an online platform that enables customers to discover, request, and book local services from independent professionals. Services include — but are not limited to — home maintenance, cleaning, tutoring, beauty and wellness, and other local trades.
You2Pro acts as a marketplace intermediary. Services are provided directly by the independent Pros, not by You2Pro. You2Pro is not the employer of any professional using the platform.

Customers
- Name and email address on registration
- Profile information (optional: photo, location, contact number)
- Service requests and booking details
- Payment information (processed by Stripe; You2Pro does not store full card details)
- Messages and communications with Pros or with You2Pro
- Reviews and ratings submitted after a booking
Professionals (Pros)
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Professional profile information (bio, services offered, pricing, location)
- Identity and verification documents (where applicable and as the platform develops)
- Bank account and payment details for payouts (processed securely via Stripe)
- Availability and booking information
- Reviews and ratings received
Waitlist Sign-ups
- Name, email address, location, and user type (customer or Pro)
- Optional service category interest or short message
Contact Form Submissions
- Name, email address, enquiry type, and message
- Your consent confirmation
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
- Device and connection information
- Session information (via authentication cookies)
- Usage patterns within the platform

4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the You2Pro platform
- Process bookings and facilitate services between customers and Pros
- Process payments and manage financial transactions via Stripe

- Notify waitlist members when early access becomes available in their area
- Verify the identity and suitability of Pros, where applicable

- Contract:Processing necessary to fulfil our agreement with you when you register or make a booking.

6.1 Between Customers and Pros
To facilitate bookings, certain information is shared between customers and Pros — for example, your name and contact details relevant to a confirmed booking. You should only share information with others on the platform that is necessary for the service being arranged.
6.2 Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database hosting and user authentication (hosted on cloud infrastructure in the EU/UK)
- Stripe — payment processing; subject to Stripe's own privacy policy and PCI-DSS standards
- Other service providers we may engage as the platform develops
All processors are required to process personal data only on our instructions and to maintain appropriate security measures.
6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose personal data to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of You2Pro, our users, or others.
7. International Data Transfers
Our primary infrastructure is hosted within the EU and UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or adequacy regulations — as required by UK GDPR.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfil legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Indicative retention periods:
- Account data: retained for the life of the account and for a reasonable period after closure
- Booking and payment records: retained for up to 7 years for financial and legal compliance
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 2 years or until the enquiry is resolved
- Waitlist data: retained until early access is offered or the waitlist is closed

These include encrypted data storage via Supabase, row-level security policies, and secure payment handling via Stripe. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
